Mission Statement:

We, the undersigned, hereby declare that we desire to form a society under The Societies Act, R.S.A. 1980, and that:

1. The name of the society is:

Capital Health Region Pharmacists Association

2. The objects of the society are:

a. To encourage, foster and develop among its members a recognition of the importance of providing patients with the highest standard of pharmaceutical services through the optimal use of available resources. 

b. To provide an effective voice for pharmacists on issues that affect the Capital Health Region that will enhance our ability to effect public policy changes and to integrate with other health care professions and organizations. 

c. To nurture and support professional environments that enable pharmacists to:
 - i. maximize their skills and abilities, and
 - ii. work in harmony with other health care providers. 

d. To establish programs and services that optimize the health of all patients. 

e. To encourage, foster and develop partnerships with patients and potential patients through effective and ongoing professional dialogue.

f. To encourage, foster and develop partnerships, with manufacturers, distributors and other stakeholders in the health care industry, which utilize available human, pharmaceutical and information resources to achieve integrated pharmaceutical care. 

g. To provide a forum for consideration and discussion of common issues affecting patients and members of the health care community. 

h. To provide a centre and suitable meeting places for the various activities of its members. 
i. To provide all necessary equipment and furniture for carrying on its various objects.

j. To establish and maintain a library and reading room. 

k. To facilitate the delivery of educational programs on pharmaceutical care and related subjects. 

l. To acquire lands, by purchase or otherwise, and erect or otherwise provide a building or buildings for society purposes.

m. To sell, manage, lease, mortgage, dispose of, or otherwise deal with the property of the society.
